Jake's 1 year Photos

Jake did an amazing job at his second professional photo shoot. I don't think he remembers the first one, since he was only a day old, but he's a natural. These are just some of the 80 shots that we have on CD and we do have a bunch of hardcopies that we will be getting to the grandparents soon...

But enjoy some of our favorites in the meantime...some of his expressions are PRICELESS!!!

I am a serious athlete. Seriously Serious.

Wait - this thing moves....AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHH!

He had so much fun on the radio flyer - Andy thinks we need one at home!

He did not like the profile shots at all - he did not want to cooperate on these and the lighting wouldn't work - maybe because he's so pale, like his mother???

He loved that bear!!!!

Grandma MA spoiled me rotten!

So like I mentioned earlier, I know I'm behind. BUT, when you're chasing after a now 11 month old who has quickly learned to climb the stairs and crawl after you, while trying to pull up on everything, sleep and zoning out become the priority!!! Jake is so much fun, though! He figured out how to pull himself up in his pack n play while we were in Michigan, so he had net imprints on his face all week and all I keep picturing is his little face peering over the side with a big grin, because he was so proud of himself. We made things worse by cheering for him, so he decided to keep doing it, no matter if it was naptime or bedtime or anytime!!! The most hilarious part was how he would push off the net using his big head to hold himself so he could get his legs under him!!! If only he had been so cute on the plane. Neither flight was great for Andy or I since Jake wanted to climb all over us to check out all the other passengers and say hello. He's either the friendliest kid ever or the nosiest!!! And since we picked flying at bedtime in the hopes that he would just crash, it was worse because we were constantly on the meltdown line. Whoops! We won't do that again! We think he is about to cut one of his upper teeth, since he's been pretty cranky lately, but its not through the gums quite yet. Otherwise, he loves fruits like watermelon and banana, but won't eat green veggies unless they are mixed in with yogurt or something. Doesn't that sound hauntingly familiar....ANDY???!!!! He must be my kid though, buecause not only does he have a massive sweet tooth (donuts and ice cream are favorites), he loves goldfish crackers. I think he and I could single handedly finish a bag as a meal and neither of us would think twice about it. He is getting better with the sippie cups at school, but doesn't like them at home. Either I'm not patient enough or he's got my number on that one. We are finally getting professional photos done on the 24th, so I'll get those out to everyone when we get them. Andy is taking outfit requests...seriously this kid is spoiled rotten!
We also have video, but I haven't figured out how to load those, yet. When I do, I'll post them. You will get to see my maniac in action!!

Michigan Trip

I know I'm way behind - here are a few pics from Michigan and hopefully we'll figure out the new camera and get the rest on to the computer soon!

Ring around the Roseola Virus

Team Dunn had a fantastic Memorial Day dealing with Jake's Roseola Virus. Granted we had no idea what it was or what he'd had a reaction to, but I must say our kid is a serious trooper. Thursday night he was running a temp of over 105 at one point - needless to say a little freaking out ensued and we called G & G Baur, Grandma MA and the Pediatrician office. Sorry we woke everyone! Got him in Friday and it was a virus in his throat - strep test negative and not hand foot, mouth disease. Yeah for us. Doc said fever would break within the next day - no mention of a rash, though, and so when he broke out Saturday night into a bright red polka dot, we had no idea what happened. He didn't have a fever and wasn't clawing at it, so we hung on until the doc office opened again Tuesday and we were back for the diagnosis. If only the doc had told me we (the parents) could get it too...since its 4:30AM and I am upddated the blog hyped up on Tylenol and sweating out a fever of 102.8. AWESOME! If I break out in a rash - I'll be sure to post those, as well, because my skin isn't sensitive enough! Good Grief! Team Dunn is over random childhood viruses!

First Time at the Pool

So we finally ventured to one of the pools in the neighborhood - It only took almost 3 years, so Andy figured that from the Homeowner's Association Dues we've paid we're down to $900/visit to the pool. We've been twice now. Jake loves the water and even better, loves to come home and take naps after we wear him out in the sun/water. He will kick in the deeper water, but he is more interested in just walking around. It seems easier in 1.5 feet of water, I guess. Enjoy the pics.
